Change County and/or Property Tax Rate

  1. Lack of a visible bar can occur when the average pay is so small the result is a bar less than one pixel in height.
  2. Rates shown are for total county property taxes only. Amounts do not include rates for other taxing entities (cities, school districts and special districts).
  3. Rates shown are per $100 of taxable value.
  4. All counties have a General Fund property tax rate. Counties can also have an optional Farm to Market/Flood Control (FMFC) Fund and/or an optional Special Road & Bridge Fund each of which can have its own property tax rate which are also included in the total for those counties that have one or both of the optional funds.
  5. Since some counties do not have the Farm to Market/Flood Control (FMFC) Fund and/or the optional Special Road & Bridge Fund, chart are only available for the total county property tax rate and for the General Fund property tax rate.
  6. The Total County Tax Rate includes the General Fund property tax rate, the optional Farm to Market/Flood Control (FMFC) Fund property tax rate and the optional Special Road & Bridge Fund property tax rate.
  7. The property tax rate for each fund is in two parts. There is the M&O part for Maintenance and Operations and the I&S part for Intrest and Sinking (used to pay debt obligations).
  8. Final 2022 property tax data by county was not available as of July 18, 2023.
