  2. There was a change in the U.S. Census Bureau's methodolgy from 2004 to 2005. This makes comparability across those years problematic. Therefore, data shown on this webpage begins with 2006.

Therefore, approximately half the households have income less than the median household income and approximately half the households have income greater than the median household income. This is approximate since one or more households may have income exactly equat to the median household income.

  6. In the table, the 90% confidence interval lower and upper bounds are for the nominal estimated median household income. Bounds are not provided for the real estimated median household income.
